Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to Rann Utsav bookings only — stays at the Tent City at Dhordo and the associated Rann Utsav packages sold through this website for the 1 Nov 2026 – 7 Mar 2027season. Any other service we may arrange for you, such as separately booked hotels in Bhuj, transport or third-party experiences, is governed by that supplier's own cancellation terms, which we will share with you in writing before you pay.
Refund schedule
Refunds are calculated against your total booking value and depend on how far before your scheduled arrival date we receive your cancellation in writing.
Amendment charges
If you need to change rather than cancel your booking, the following charges apply. Any difference in tariff between your original and revised dates or room category is payable in addition, and all changes are subject to availability.
How to cancel or amend
Send your request in writing to booking@thetourismexperts.com or on WhatsApp to +91 92747 30220, quoting your booking reference and lead guest name. The cancellation takes effect from the date and time we receive your written request, not from the date of any earlier phone conversation — so please always confirm in writing.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the booking. Bank and payment-gateway processing usually takes seven to ten working days from the date we confirm the refund, though your bank may take longer. Any transaction or gateway fees already incurred, and applicable taxes, are deducted in line with the schedule above.
Taxes, children and occupancy
- All rates are exclusive of applicable taxes. GST is charged as applicable.
- Children below six years of age stay complimentary.
- Single occupancy is charged at 75% of the double-occupancy rate.
- In triple occupancy, any guest above six years of age is charged as an extra person with a mattress.
No-show and early departure
If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date and have not cancelled in writing, the booking is treated as a no-show and no refund is due. Similarly, if you choose to depart before the end of a confirmed stay, unused nights are not refundable.
Circumstances beyond our control
Rann Utsav is organised in a remote desert location and operates under permissions granted by the relevant authorities. If the festival is cancelled, curtailed or the site is closed for reasons outside our reasonable control — including government or administrative orders, border or security restrictions, extreme weather, natural events or public-health directions — we will offer you a credit for a future date in the same season where possible, or a refund of the amount we are able to recover from the operator. We will always tell you honestly what has been recovered and what has not.
