Dates, answered

The season runs 1 November 2026 to 7 March 2027 — 127 nights of festival. Full moon nights, Diwali week and the Christmas–New Year window are the busiest and highest-demand dates within that season.
Confirmed full moon windows are 22–25 November 2026, 21–24 December 2026, 20–23 January 2027 and 18–21 February 2027. The White Desert stays open later on these nights and they are the single most requested dates of the season — book 3–4 months ahead.
Dark moon nights (9 Nov, 8 Dec, 7 Jan, 6 Feb) have no moonlight — the desert sky is at its darkest, which stargazers and astrophotographers specifically seek out. They also tend to have better availability than full moon dates, other than 9 November which falls inside Diwali week.
Peak dates (Diwali week, full moon windows, and general December–January outside Christmas week) carry a surcharge of ₹2,000 for 1 night, ₹3,500 for 2 nights and ₹4,500 for 3 nights per person, on top of the base tariff. The Christmas & New Year window (18 Dec–2 Jan) carries the highest surcharge: ₹4,000 / ₹6,000 / ₹8,000.
November (outside Diwali week and the full moon window), and most of February and March, are priced at the base tariff — ₹6,300 per person per night for a Non-AC Swiss Cottage. These dates also tend to have the best tent availability if you are booking closer to your travel date.
