BHUJ TO DHORDO
From Bhuj Station to Dhordo Tent City
Dhordo village — the location of the Rann Utsav Tent City — is approximately 80 km from Bhuj city centre. Ask whether your selected package includes this transfer or quotes it separately. The drive takes approximately one to one-and-a-half hours on NH 341, a well-maintained National Highway that runs directly into the Banni grasslands and towards the White Rann.
The landscape on the drive is fascinating in its own right — the terrain opens up from semi-urban Bhuj into the remarkable Banni grasslands, one of Asia's largest tropical grassland ecosystems, before the road reaches the checkpoint at the edge of the White Rann. If you arrange a transfer, confirm pickup and drop-off locations in advance.
For an unusual arrival hour, ask the provider or transfer operator whether pickup is available. Agree on a contact method for delays before travelling.
