Plan Your Visit
Delhi travellers escape the worst of north-Indian winter by visiting the Rann between November and February. Delhi mornings in December–January are 6–10°C with heavy fog; Bhuj at the same time is 12–22°C with crystal-clear skies. The Delhi Christmas–New Year stretch is the single most-booked week of our entire season — flights and trains both fill 60 days out. February (post-Republic Day to mid-March) is quieter and gives you the same daytime weather without the festive crowd. Avoid the first week of October when Delhi air-quality post-Diwali makes flight-day commutes from south Delhi to IGI miserable.

FAQ
The direct IndiGo flight (6E-2185) takes 2 hours 5 minutes. Connecting flights via Ahmedabad take 4–5 hours including layover. Both fly into Bhuj Airport (BHJ), 80 km from our Dhordo Tent City — our complimentary pickup covers this leg.
There is no direct daily train; you change at Ahmedabad. Take Ashram Express (12915) Delhi to Ahmedabad, then the Bhuj Express (12961) onward. Total journey 26–28 hours. Many Delhi guests instead prefer the morning flight.
A 2 Nights / 3 Days trip from Delhi works perfectly. Friday morning flight, Friday–Sunday at the Rann, Monday morning flight back. Our team handles all Bhuj-end logistics so you only manage two flight legs.
Republic Day (26 January) at the Rann is one of the most special evenings — special cultural programming, best winter weather, and a long weekend that fits Delhi work calendars. Book by mid-November as it sells out 60 days in advance.
The cheapest combination: overnight Volvo bus Delhi → Ahmedabad (₹2,200), train Ahmedabad → Bhuj (₹450 sleeper class), then our Bhuj pickup. Total transit cost roughly ₹2,800 one-way. Cheaper than flying but adds 18 hours of travel each way — only practical for budget backpackers.
