Plan Your Visit
Jaipur and Kutch share a desert sensibility, but the Rann season opens up a unique winter window for Jaipur travellers — November to February gives you cooler weather than your home city while still keeping driving conditions excellent. December afternoons in Jaipur reach 22°C; Dhordo at the same time is 24°C with the bonus of clear desert nights perfect for stargazing. Avoid the late-March stretch when Jaipur kicks into pre-summer heat and the road from Palanpur to Bhuj becomes uncomfortable. Most Jaipur guests pick the late-December long weekend or a mid-February break aligned with a Holi pre-season window.

Yes — Pushkar is 145 km from Jaipur on the same NH 48 corridor. A 2-hour Pushkar stop adds about three hours to your Jaipur–Bhuj drive. Many heritage-focused travellers do exactly this. We can recommend a Pushkar lunch spot if you tell us at booking.
They share the desert + cultural performance DNA but feel very different. Pushkar is about livestock trade and pilgrim energy; Rann Utsav is about scenic vastness, organised cultural programming, and luxury tent comfort. Most Jaipur guests describe the Rann as more polished and family-friendly.
