Plan Your Visit
Mumbai school calendars line up beautifully with the Rann Utsav peak season. The two strongest windows for Mumbai travellers are the Diwali week (mid-October to early November) and the Christmas–New Year stretch — both align with school holidays and offer perfect 18–26°C desert weather. February half-term and the Republic Day long weekend are the next best slots. Avoid mid-March when Mumbai humidity is rising and Bhuj temperatures climb past 32°C during the day. Mumbai guests should book at least eight weeks in advance for any full moon weekend; flights from BOM to Bhuj sell out completely 30–40 days before peak dates.

Bandra Terminus (BDTS) is the main departure point for Bhuj-bound trains. Mumbai Central (BCT) has fewer Bhuj services. Allow 60 minutes from south Mumbai to reach BDTS during evening rush hour.
