From Pune, Rann Utsav is conveniently reachable by multiple modes. Whether you prefer the speed of flying or the scenic experience of a road trip through Gujarat's heartland, each route has its own charm. Our packages include Bhuj pickup, so you only need to get yourself to Bhuj — we handle the rest.

Pune travellers benefit from cool, dry weather most of the festival season. December to early February is the prime window — daytime Rann temperatures of 18–26°C feel just right after Pune's 14–28°C. The Pune–Mumbai Expressway connection gives you a fast link to direct flights from Mumbai to Bhuj. School holidays in late December and the early-February half-term align particularly well. Avoid late October when Pune Ganesh festival traffic spills into airport routes, and skip late March when Pune pre-summer heat plus rising desert temperatures combine to make the trip uncomfortable.

Drive Pune–Mumbai (3 hours) on the expressway, fly BOM–BHJ direct (1 hr 25 min). Reach Dhordo by 1 PM. Afternoon orientation, sunset walk, evening folk show.
Sunrise walk at 5:45 AM. Breakfast. ATV ride and paramotoring (advance booking). Craft village in the afternoon. Evening Bhavai performance.
Half-day Kalo Dungar with the panoramic Rann view. India Bridge stop. Late lunch at Dhordo. Afternoon at leisure, evening at the cultural amphitheatre.
Breakfast and check-out by 10:30 AM. Bhuj lunch. Afternoon BHJ–BOM flight, then Mumbai–Pune drive. Reach Pune by 9 PM.

No direct flight currently operates. The fastest route is Pune drive to Mumbai (3 hours), then IndiGo BOM–BHJ direct (1 hr 25 min). Total transit time is 6–7 hours including airport buffer. Many Pune guests prefer this over connecting flights via Ahmedabad.
Sixteen to eighteen hours of driving plus 2 hours for breaks. Practical only as a 2-day road trip with overnight halt at Vadodara. Most Pune guests fly via Mumbai instead.
No — you change at Mumbai or Ahmedabad. The most efficient option is the Mahalakshmi Express to Mumbai and then the Kutch Express to Bhuj. Budget 22 hours total. Only practical if you specifically want a train experience.
