Plan Your Visit
Hyderabad sees relatively mild winters — December averages 14–28°C — so the temperature drop at the Rann (8–24°C in peak winter) is significant but manageable. Best windows for Hyderabad travellers are late December (Christmas + your office year-end break) and the Sankranti / Pongal long weekend in mid-January. February is also excellent and quieter. Avoid the first week of October when post-monsoon delays still affect the Maharashtra leg of any road journey, and skip mid-March when both Hyderabad and the Rann hit early-summer heat. Hyderabad business travellers consistently combine an Ahmedabad client meeting with a Rann Utsav weekend — talk to us about Friday-arrival logistics.
